PATRON FAQ

  • The Dunbar Pavilion is a cultural and community hub located in Tucson, Arizona, dedicated to celebrating and preserving African American heritage. It serves as a gathering space for arts, education, social engagement, and local business support, rooted in the historic Dunbar School, which was originally a segregated school for Black children.

  • We are located at 325 W. 2nd Street, Tucson, AZ 85705. Our facility is in the heart of Tucson, easily accessible from major roads and public transportation.

  • The Pavilion is generally open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, hours may vary depending on events, workshops, and special programming. Please check our Events Calendar for specific times.

  • To book an event or rent space, please visit our Booking and Rentals page or contact our Events Coordinator at events@thedunbartucson.org. We offer various spaces for meetings, workshops, performances, and community events.

  • We host a wide range of events, including cultural performances, art exhibits, educational workshops, community meetings, and private gatherings. Our events celebrate the diversity and creativity of our community, with a particular focus on African American culture.

  • There are several ways to support us:

    • Donate: Contributions help sustain our programs and maintain our historic facility. Visit our Donate page for more information.

  • Yes, we offer a variety of educational programs for children, including workshops, cultural storytelling sessions, and history tours. Contact us for more information and current offerings.
